Sabe-se tamb\u00e9m que a concentra\u00e7\u00e3o plasm\u00e1tica de leucina, bem como a s\u00edntese de prote\u00edna, \u00e9 maior ap\u00f3s o consumo de whey comparado \u00e0 outras prote\u00ednas, como case\u00edna e soja (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.physiology.org\/doi\/full\/10.1152\/japplphysiol.00076.2009?url_ver=Z39.88-2003&amp;rfr_id=ori:rid:crossref.org&amp;rfr_dat=cr_pub%3dpubmed\">2<\/a>).<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Em raz\u00e3o dessas caracter\u00edsticas, foi estabelecida a hip\u00f3tese da leucina como desencadeador do fen\u00f4meno da s\u00edntese de prote\u00edna induzida pela dieta e que h\u00e1 um limiar m\u00ednimo e \u00f3timo para esse efeito. Al\u00e9m disso, como a velocidade da prote\u00edna afeta a disponibilidade de leucina, sugere-se que coincidir o pico desse amino\u00e1cido com o exerc\u00edcio \u00e9 o meio mais vi\u00e1vel para atingir n\u00edveis aumentados de s\u00edntese de prote\u00edna no m\u00fasculo (<a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007%2Fs40279-018-1009-y\">3<\/a>).<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>O estudo (<a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007%2Fs40279-018-1009-y\">3<\/a>) aponta para uma dire\u00e7\u00e3o menos convencional. Ser\u00e1?<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>No estudo (<a href=\"https:\/\/insights.ovid.com\/crossref?an=00005768-200604000-00009\">6<\/a>) avaliou-se a ingest\u00e3o do leite integral (627kcal, 8g de prote\u00edna, 8g de gordura e 11g de carboidratos), leite desnatado com a mesma quantidade de prote\u00edna (377kcal, 9g de prote\u00edna, 0,6g de gordura e 12g de carbos), mas ainda leite desnatado em quantidade isocal\u00f3rica (626kcal, 14,5g de prote\u00edna, 1g de gordura e 20g de carboidratos). <br \/>Repare que houve quase o dobro de prote\u00edna no leite desnatado isocal\u00f3rico.
