O processo C, disp\u00f5e de oscila\u00e7\u00e3o controlada pelo ciclo circadiano. Nesse sentido, sua fun\u00e7\u00e3o depende da a\u00e7\u00e3o e atividade do n\u00facleo supraquiasm\u00e1tico (NSQ), bem como das pistas ambientais (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/7185792\">1<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/10.1177\/074873099129000894\">2<\/a>).<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>V\u00e1lido apontar que um maior potencial do processo S reduz a participa\u00e7\u00e3o do processo C no sono. Isso quer dizer que em estados de sono reduzido, a press\u00e3o para o sono, processo S, passa a ser maior e dominante.
